Should I grow a beard?

Hells Yes! It’s a proven internet fact that growing a beard makes you more manly.  Just remember growing a beard comes with great responsibilities so be sure to take good care of it by using beard oil or balm; preferably The Beard Place products; because growing a beard is serious business.  

What is beard oil?

Beard oil is a blend of natural oils that is used to moisturize facial hair and the skin beneath. It is hydrating to the skin and helps keep it soft while taming your beard.  

What is beard balm?

Beard balm is simply a leave-in conditioner that moisturizes, conditions, softens, strengthens and helps control your beard.

Should I use beard oil or beard balm?

There is no bigger question. Both are great moisturizing products that will keep your beard healthy and nourish your skin. However, there are small subtle differences.  Beard oil is lighter on the beard and puts a nice sheen to it.  Balm is heavier on the beard but allows more control to style it.  If you’re not sure which product to use, play around with both to see what works best with your beard.   

How long will one bottle of oil or one container of balm last?

This depends on the length of your beard and the amount you use.  Generally, a 1 oz. bottle of oil will last around 60 days and a 2 oz. container of balm will last around 45 days for most beards.    

How do I use beard oil?

After showering or cleansing, apply 5-8 drops of the beard oil to the palm of your hand.  Rub your hands together to evenly spread the oil and apply throughout your beard from root to tip. Comb your beard to distribute the oil evenly and style. If your beard is shorter, you may want to apply less drops, however for longer beards you may need to apply more drops to ensure full beard coverage. Play around and see what works for you. All beards are different.

How do I use beard balm?

Use your thumbnail to scoop out a small amount. Apply the balm to the palm of your hand and rub your hands together to evenly spread the balm into an oily coat.  Apply the balm to your beard and massage it throughout from root to tip.  Comb your beard to distribute the balm evenly and style.  If your beard is long, you may want to use more balm to ensure full beard coverage.  Play around and see what works for you. All beards are different.
